Mugabe should step down now

I would like to join the clarion call for the postponement of elections in Zimbabwe.
From the writing on the wall, the environment currently obtaining in Zimbabwe has nothing to favour a free and fair election because there has been wanton abuse of power.
It is also true that there has been so much violence, hatred and intimidation.
These conditions have never been a recipe for a free and fair election.
For instance President Mwanawasa of Zambia and UN Chief Ban-Ki Moon have indicated that the Zimbabwe election re-run fell short of minimum guidelines for holding such an event.
Democracy is not about intimidation, violence or such wrong doings. It is about people and this is what the government in Zimbabwe has refused to embrace.
The Mugabe government has lost it all! It is fighting its own people in the selfish quest to remain in power.
I would like to believe that there are cobwebs running on some minds of senior government officials who suppose that the need for regime change in Zimbabwe was an effort sponsored by the Britain, America, Australia and New Zealand.
The arrogance and acts of desperation being exhibited by Mugabe and his minions such as Patrick Chinamasa will not take them anywhere.
I would also like to agree with individuals suggesting that the acts of violence and killings against MDC supporters in Zimbabwe would soon de-generate into genocide.
It is imperative now to exert more pressure on Mugabe and his followers to back off.
There is an urgent need to save the people of Zimbabwe from further torment by the Mugabe regime now turned dictators.
